This Vivaro is a Renault Trafic

The 2014–2019 Vivaro was built on Renault's platform and sold simultaneously as the Renault Trafic, the Fiat Talento and the Nissan NV300. All four are the same van, and the glass is interchangeable.

Practically, that means our Trafic and Talento stock is your Vivaro glass. It also means that when you're researching conversions, all four communities' build guides apply directly to your van — and when you're buying, comparing across the badges can save real money for an identical vehicle.

Planning a Vivaro conversion

The classic layout puts a bed across the back, a kitchen along the nearside and storage above. That places your cooking area beside the sliding door, which is why an opening window on the nearside is close to standard — steam needs somewhere to go, and the alternative is opening the sliding door in the rain.

Fixed glass on the offside gives light at lower cost. Rear door glass is worth adding: rearward visibility improves substantially and the bed area stops feeling enclosed.

Privacy tint throughout. It keeps a conversion — which represents real money sitting in the back of a van — out of sight when parked, and cuts summer solar gain noticeably.

The standard roof gives sitting height only. Many Vivaro builds add a pop-top, which doesn't change the glazing plan but transforms how usable the van is.

Fitting

Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive, as the factory glazes the window-van versions. Mark and cut the aperture, dress and prime the raw edge against corrosion, bond, and cure fully before driving.

The panels carry well-defined pressed guidelines, which makes marking out far less nerve-wracking than on vans without them. Panes are a manageable size — the side glass is a comfortable one-person fit.
