Vivaro, Trafic and Primastar
The 2001–2014 Vivaro was sold simultaneously as the Renault Trafic and the Nissan Primastar. Identical vans, fully interchangeable glass — our Trafic and Primastar stock is your Vivaro glass.
The Vivaro badge dominates the UK used market for this generation, so you'll find the deepest pool of conversion advice under that name. All of it applies to the other two equally.
Twin side-load doors
Several panes here are specific to vans with sliding doors on both sides. The offside panel arrangement differs on twin-door vans and standard glass won't fit.
Walk round your van and check before ordering. It's easy to overlook and expensive to discover after cutting.
Check the rust before you cut
These vans are now 11 to 24 years old, and condition varies enormously. Before planning any glazing, look hard at the metal — corrosion around the sills, wheel arches and lower side panels is the usual failure point on this generation.
Cutting an aperture into a panel that's already corroding will accelerate the rot significantly, and rust that gets under bonded glass is a difficult and costly problem to fix. If the metal around your intended aperture is sound, prime the cut edge thoroughly. If it isn't, deal with that first.
Privacy or green?
Privacy for campers — dark, private, cooler in summer. Green for day vans, crew vans and minibus conversions where light and visibility matter more. We stock both across most positions because this van gets used for both.
Fitting
Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive: cut, dress and prime, bond, cure.
Given the age of these vans, offer the glass up dry before committing adhesive — previous repairs and accident damage can leave apertures slightly out of true, and it's much better to find that out beforehand.

Delivery
Order before 3pm Monday to Thursday for next working day UK mainland delivery, in packaging built for vehicle glass, with immediate replacement of any breakage.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Vivaro the same as a Renault Trafic or Nissan Primastar?
Yes — from 2001 to 2014 all three are the same van with interchangeable glass.
Will this fit the 2014-onwards Vivaro?
No. The 2014 model was a complete redesign, listed separately.
Do I need twin side-load door glass?
Only if your van has sliding doors on both sides — the offside panes differ. Check before ordering.
Are these vans still worth converting?
If the bodywork is sound, yes. They're cheap and there's a huge amount of conversion knowledge available. Check carefully for rust first.
