Master, NV400 and Movano

The Renault Master, Nissan NV400 and Vauxhall Movano are the same van. Same body, same apertures, same glass.

Practically this widens your options considerably. When buying, shop all three badges — prices differ for what is one vehicle. When researching, the Master has the largest conversion following of the three, so start there.

The older Renault Master (1998–2010) and the equivalent Nissan Interstar are the previous generation; we stock a front fixed pane for those too.

Getting the length right

The Master runs from SWB up to XLWB, and glass — especially the rear quarters — is specific to body length. This is where mistakes get expensive on a van this size.

Your length is on the V5C. If you're not certain, send us the registration number and we'll confirm exactly which panes fit before you cut anything.

Glazing a big-van conversion

With front, centre and rear quarter positions available on each side, the Master gives you real flexibility. Few builds glaze everything — wall space is needed for units, and every pane is heat lost — but you can light the van properly.

The typical layout: opening front glass on the nearside for kitchen ventilation, fixed opposite, rear quarter glass both sides over the bed. The centre position is most often left solid because that's where the kitchen or wardrobe sits.

If you're building for year-round use, remember that glass is where most of your heat goes. Privacy tint helps with summer solar gain; thermal blinds or window covers are worth budgeting for in winter.

Fitting

Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive. Cut the aperture, dress and prime the raw edge to prevent corrosion, apply adhesive, set the glass square, cure fully.

The Master's larger panes — XLWB rear quarters in particular — are heavy and unwieldy. These are two-person jobs. Getting a big pane square in wet adhesive single-handed is not something to attempt.

Delivery

Order before 3pm Monday to Thursday for next working day UK mainland delivery, in packaging built for vehicle glass, with immediate replacement of any breakage.
