Don't skip the rear door glass
On a small van, rear door glass does more than people expect. It's the difference between a dark box and a space that feels open — light floods in over the bed area, rearward visibility improves substantially, and the interior stops feeling like the back of a van.
If you're only fitting a limited number of windows on a Partner build, rear door glass earns its place ahead of a second side window.
The Partner, Berlingo, Rifter and Combo
From 2019 the Peugeot Partner, Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Rifter and Vauxhall Combo are the same vehicle with different badges and trim. Glass is interchangeable across all of them.
Search all four names when researching conversions — the layouts, dimensions and build guides transfer directly, and you'll find far more material than searching one badge alone.
Micro camper planning
In a van this size, every design decision has consequences. Windows take wall space you might want for storage, and each pane is a weak point in your insulation. But light and ventilation transform how a small space feels to spend time in, and a windowless micro camper is a grim place to wake up.
The common compromise: opening glass on one side for airflow, fixed on the other, and rear door glass for light. Pair it with a roof vent if you can — in a small van, a vent moves air more effectively than any side window.
Privacy tint is essential rather than optional here. The whole point of a micro camper is that it parks anywhere without attracting attention, and dark glass is what makes that work.
Fitting
Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive: cut, dress and prime the edge, bond, cure.
The panes are small and light — a manageable one-person job. The rear door glass is the easier of the two positions; the side panel takes more care because the aperture is larger relative to the panel's rigidity.

Will 2008–2018 Partner glass fit the 2019 model?
No. The 2019 Partner is a new platform with different apertures. Order from the correct collection.
Does this fit a Citroën Berlingo or Vauxhall Combo?
Yes — from 2019 they're the same van and share glass, as does the Peugeot Rifter.
Is the Partner big enough for a camper?
For two people on short trips, yes — particularly the long wheelbase. It's a weekender rather than a full-time van.
Should I fit rear door windows?
On a van this small, yes. They make more difference to the feel of the interior than a second side window.
