L1, L2, L3, L4 — get this right first

The Boxer is sold in four lengths and glass differs between them. L1 short, L2 medium, L3 long, L4 extra-long. Some panes span multiple lengths (LWB front glass generally fits L2/L3/L4); rear panes are usually specific to one.

Your length is on the V5C and usually badged on the rear door. Confirm it before you cut — send us the registration if there's any doubt and we'll identify the right panes. This is a five-minute check that prevents a very expensive mistake.

Boxer, Ducato and Relay — the same van

The Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato and Citroën Relay are built together and share glass entirely across matching lengths and years.

Practically: the Ducato is the most common motorhome base in Europe, so there's a vast amount of conversion knowledge, layout advice and parts availability under that name. All of it applies to your Boxer. And when you're buying, compare all three badges — you're shopping for one van with three prices.

Privacy or green?

Privacy is dark tint: interior not visible from outside in daylight, significantly reduced solar gain, and the standard choice for campervans where you want to leave the van parked without displaying its contents.

Green is a light tint, much closer to ordinary car glass. Far more light through, no seclusion. Right for crew vans, welfare vans and day vans; usually wrong for a camper.

We stock both across most positions on the Boxer because it's used for both purposes in roughly equal measure.

Fitting

Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive, exactly as the factory glazes the window-van versions. Cut the aperture, dress and prime the raw edge against corrosion, apply adhesive, set the glass square, cure fully.

The Boxer's panels are large and flat — good for marking out, but the bigger L3 and L4 panes are heavy. Get help offering them up; a large pane going in crooked on wet adhesive is not a mistake you can quietly correct.
