The NV400 is a Renault Master and a Vauxhall Movano

This is the most important thing on this page. The Nissan NV400, Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano are the same van, built on the same line, with fully interchangeable glass.

That's genuinely useful. Conversion guides, forum threads, build videos and parts listings are far more plentiful under the Renault Master name — so if you're struggling to find information about converting an NV400, search for Master conversions instead. Everything transfers directly.

It also means you should shop across all three badges when buying. The same van can carry noticeably different prices depending on which grille it wears.

The older Nissan Interstar (1998–2010) is the previous generation of the same arrangement, and we stock a front fixed pane for that too.

Body lengths

The NV400 runs from SWB up to XLWB, and glass — particularly the rear quarters — is length-specific. Your length is on the V5C.

Given how many positions are available on this van and how expensive a wrong cut is, we'd strongly recommend confirming before you order. Send us your registration number and we'll tell you exactly which panes fit your van.

Glazing a large van conversion

With front, centre and rear quarter positions available, you can properly light an NV400 conversion. Most builders don't glaze all of them — wall space is valuable for cabinetry and insulation — but the flexibility is there.

A common approach: opening front glass on the nearside for kitchen ventilation, fixed front glass opposite, and rear quarter glass on both sides to light the bed area. The centre pane is the one most often skipped, because that's typically where the kitchen units or wardrobe go.

Privacy tint for campers; green for crew and welfare van conversions where light matters more than seclusion.

Fitting

Bonded glazing with polyurethane adhesive. Cut the aperture, dress and prime the raw edge against corrosion, bond, cure.

The larger panes on this van are heavy and awkward — the XLWB rear quarters especially. These are two-person lifts. Trying to place a big pane square in wet adhesive alone is how expensive mistakes happen.
