Which length is your Ducato?

The Ducato runs from L1 (short) through L2 and L3 to L4 (extra-long), and glass is length-specific in most positions. Some panes cover multiple lengths — LWB front glass typically fits L2, L3 and L4 — but rear panes in particular are tied to a single body length.

Your length is recorded on the V5C and usually badged on the rear door. Check it before you cut anything. If you're converting a van you've just bought and aren't certain, send us the registration and we'll confirm which glass fits.

Motorhome conversions and habitation windows

One thing worth being clear about: the glass we supply is automotive bonded glazing — the same specification the van left the factory with. It is not the same thing as an acrylic habitation window with an integrated blind and flyscreen, which is what many coachbuilt motorhomes use.

Both have their place. Bonded automotive glass looks factory, is far more secure, doesn't yellow or scratch the way acrylic does, and keeps the van looking like a van — which matters a great deal if you want to park discreetly. Acrylic habitation windows offer built-in blinds and better insulation but are visibly aftermarket and more vulnerable to damage.

If you're doing a stealth-ish conversion or want the van to retain its factory appearance, bonded glass is the right choice. That's what we supply.

Privacy or green?

Privacy is dark tint. It cuts solar gain, keeps the interior out of sight when you're parked in public, and is what the vast majority of camper builds use. Green is a light tint that behaves much more like ordinary car glass — far more light through, no seclusion.

For a habitation area, choose privacy. For a crew cab or a day van where you want brightness, green works better.

Ducato, Relay and Boxer are the same van

The Ducato shares its body with the Citroën Relay and Peugeot Boxer — all three are built by Sevel and the glass is interchangeable across matching lengths and years. If you're searching for parts and finding better availability under a different badge, that's why. It all fits.

Fitting

All Ducato glass is bonded with polyurethane adhesive: cut the aperture, dress and prime the raw edge to prevent corrosion, apply adhesive, set the glass, allow to cure. The Ducato's flat, generously sized panels make it one of the more straightforward vans to glaze.

The larger L3 and L4 rear panes are heavy — get a second person to help offer them up rather than trying to hold one square on your own. Bonding kits, primer and trim are available alongside the glass.

Delivery

Order before 3pm Monday to Thursday for next working day delivery to the UK mainland. Everything ships in packaging built for vehicle glass, and any breakage is replaced immediately.
