What we supply for the Doblo

Both are privacy-tint bonded panes for the long wheelbase Doblo's front side panel.

Note that these are long wheelbase panes. The Doblo is sold in standard and Maxi (long wheelbase) forms, and the side panel differs. Check which you have before ordering — the Maxi is noticeably longer behind the sliding door, and it's the version most converters choose for the extra floor length.

Building a micro camper on a Doblo

Working with a van this size means every decision counts. Fixed glass is what we supply here, and for a Doblo it's usually the right answer — the interior volume is small enough that a roof vent does more for ventilation than an opening side window would, and a fixed pane is better insulated and completely leak-proof.

Most Doblo builds pair side glass with a roof vent or small rooflight. That gives you cross-flow ventilation without cutting into the limited side panel area you need for cabinetry.

Privacy tint is particularly valuable on a small van. Micro campers get parked in ordinary residential streets and car parks where a full-size camper would attract attention, and dark glass keeps the interior — and the fact that it's a camper at all — out of sight.

Doblo, Combo and Pro Ace City

The Doblo has been rebadged repeatedly over the years. Depending on the era it has been sold as the Vauxhall Combo and, more recently, related models sit alongside the Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo family following Stellantis's reorganisation. If you're researching conversions, widen your search to those names — the builds and layouts translate directly.

Fitting

The glass is bonded with polyurethane adhesive: mark, cut, dress and prime the raw edge, bond, cure. On a small van the aperture is correspondingly small, which makes the pane light and easy to handle single-handed — one of the few jobs on a Doblo build that's easier than on a big van.

Do prime the cut edge properly. Small vans of this age are prone to corrosion around the lower panels, and an unprimed cut edge is an invitation to rust.

Bonding kits, primer and trim are available alongside the glass.
