What we supply for the Berlingo

For this generation we stock the front side window in four configurations:

• Left privacy front fixed — sealed unit, best thermal and acoustic performance
• Right privacy front fixed
• Left privacy front opening — hinged, with a catch for ventilation
• Right privacy front opening

All four are privacy tint (dark), which is what the overwhelming majority of camper builders choose. It keeps the interior private when you're parked up, reduces solar gain in summer, and looks right on a van.

Fixed or opening — which do you need?

This is the single question we get asked most, so here's the short version. Fixed glass is a sealed pane. It's stronger, better insulated, marginally cheaper and there's nothing to leak or rattle. Opening glass is hinged at the top or side and pops out on a catch, giving you airflow without opening the whole sliding door.

For a Berlingo build, most people fit an opening window on the side they sleep against and a fixed pane on the other, or fit opening glass both sides if the van is going to be used in summer. Condensation is the enemy in a small camper — two bodies breathing overnight in a van this size produces a surprising amount of moisture, and being able to crack a window makes a real difference.

Does Berlingo glass fit a Peugeot Partner?

Yes — and this catches a lot of people out. The 2008–2018 Berlingo and the Peugeot Partner of the same era are the same van under different badges, built on the same Stellantis (then PSA) platform. The side glass is interchangeable. If you own a Partner, the glass listed here will fit; we list it under both names so you can find it whichever badge is on your bonnet.

Fitting your Berlingo windows

These are bonded windows, meaning they're glued to the aperture with high-strength polyurethane adhesive rather than held in with a rubber seal. Bonding is what modern vehicle manufacturers use — it's stronger, fully waterproof and gives a flush factory finish.

You'll need to cut the aperture (the Berlingo has a pressed guideline in the panel to follow), prime the bare metal edge to prevent corrosion, and bond the glass in place. It's a genuinely achievable DIY job if you're methodical, but it is a one-shot task — cut carefully. We supply everything you need alongside the glass, including bonding kits, primer and trim.
